About Katie

A Washington, DC native, Katie has lived in Delaware since 2001. She has vacationed on the Delmarva Peninsula since she was a small child, first with her parents and then with her own children.

Katie has been in the real estate business in Delaware since 2002. Prior to selling real estate in Delaware, she worked with an agent in the Maryland suburbs of DC. She also managed an Environmental Consulting firm in Wheaton, Maryland for many years. After leaving the Consulting firm, she began her own bookkeeping and payroll business which she ran for almost 10 years. She kept corporate books, did payroll and quarterly and yearly taxes for many small businesses in the Maryland and DC areas.

Upon moving to Delaware with her family, she decided get her Real Estate License so she could help people find the home of their dreams as she had done when she moved here. She has been involved in her community for many years. She was active in the Boys and Girls Club of Beltsville, Maryland where she held the job of Athletic Director, Cheerleading Coach, Baseball Commissioner, and T-Ball Coach.

Since moving to Delaware, she volunteered with organizations such as Shore Thunder Cheerleading (where her 2 daughters cheered until 2007) and Georgetown Little League. Katie is also a member of the Active Rain Community.

Her motto is "If you are not happy, we are not happy."
